There is to be a Public Meeting in the Village Hall on Wednesday 28th August at 6.30pm, which all residents are invited to attend. The three members of Grimsargh Parish Council Planning Sub-Committee will be present: Councillor Peter Burton, Councillor Eileen Murray and Councilor David Nicholson, together with our Clerk, Sue Whittam. We are also going to invite representatives of Wain Homes and Preston City Council. We hope to have more information nearer to the time as to who will be in attendance.
The format for the meeting is going to be as follows:
6.30 – 6.50pm. Main Hall - Question and Answer session in which residents may ask questions about the proposal from the representatives present. This will be a formal chaired session.
6.50 – 7.30pm. Informal discussions - people are free to mingle and engage with the representatives present in the Main Hall.
7.45pm – The Grimsargh Planning Sub-Committee members will hold the Sub-Committee Meeting in the Small Hall. Although members of the public are allowed to observe the proceedings of this meeting, Standing Orders will be in place - only members of Grimsargh Parish Council will be permitted to speak and this will be strictly adhered to.
At the end of this meeting the resolution will be passed determining Grimsargh Parish Council’s response to the planning application. The Clerk will then draft the formal response to Preston City Council.
We have already been advised by Preston City Council Planning Officers that we have until Friday 30th August to submit our response. We anticipate that this goes for all responses. Due to the problems with the Preston City Council website the past two weekends, we are going to request a further formal extension to Monday 2nd September. However, we do not as yet know if this will be accepted.
We are seeking clarification from Preston City Council regarding the site's designation in the Sites Allocations Policy and we hope to havethis, together with futher information soon.
