On Sunday 17th August Grimsargh Parish Council held a Strawberry Tea, as a thank you for the individuals and groups who plant and maintain a number of the floral displays around the village. At the event we also announced the results of the planter judging and awarded prizes for the top three.

The planters were judged by Michelle Unsworth from So Plants, Preston Road, Longridge. Michelle also donated a voucher to the first prize winner.

The event was attended by a number of parish councillors as well as representatives from the groups who adopt the planters.

The results were:

1) Grimsargh Players

2) 1st Grimsargh Brownies

3) Peter Croft

Prizes and certificates from the Parish Council were given to the prize winners by Michelle.
